About BP

Our business is the exploration, production, refining, trading and distribution of energy. This is what we do, and we do it on a truly global scale. BP operates with business activities and customers in more than 80 countries across six continents. Every day, we serve millions of customers around the world. We are continually looking for talented, committed and ambitious people to help us shape the face of energy for the future.

The Integrated Supply and Trading ("IST") Function was established in 2001 with the strategic purpose of maximising the value of BP's assets through the disciplined application of Supply and Trading insights and techniques that rival the largest investment banks. IST staff are based in 5 principal locations (London, Houston, Chicago, Calgary and Singapore) and trade contracts in the physical and derivative markets for Oil, Gas, Power and Treasury instruments.

The IST Compliance function is accountable for planning, policy-making, providing advice and delivering the compliance framework across IST's supply and trading activities. This is in line with the over-arching Group framework established by Group Compliance & Ethics, taking into account issues unique to supply and trading but independent of the business reporting lines.
