Role synopsis
The BP Credit Risk organisation is a key business area for commercial growth and daily operation within BP's Integrated Supply and Trading (IST) organisation.
The Scrum Master is part of the Global Credit Risk IT team, and will serve as the team's Domain Expert for Agile. You will report to the Program Delivery Manager. Accountability will encompass mentoring and assurance that Scrum and Agile methodologies are in place and supported across Credit Risk.
BP is looking for someone who is energetic, enterprising and a self-starter, works autonomously, has an innovative view and exhibits leadership capabilities. You should be able to successfully prioritise, when faced with requests, demands and deadlines. Strong oral and written communication capabilities are required to successfully work within a global environment. You demonstrate deep Agile delivery and analytical acumen required to effectively implement Agile across BP's Credit Risk estate.

Key accountabilities
· You are accountable for developing the standard for Agile across the global team including all ceremonies and metrics with consideration that teams may not be co-located.
· Mentor and coach the DevOps Leads, Project Managers, Product Owners as well as the teams on various Agile or Lean approaches.
· Standardize an assessment process that can be used across the wider Compliance, Regulatory, Risk and Finance teams.
· Assist Project Managers in the initial set up of projects in TFS and provide guidance throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
· Provide assurance that the team is consistent in their use of Agile including estimation, planning, management of risks and reporting.
· Lead delivery efforts using the Scrum methodology to demonstrate Agile in action and build rapport within the team.
· Work with release management to plan and schedule releases using the various tools.
· Provide guidance during Early Life Support triage.
· Provide assurance on the health of a delivery based on accurate reporting and metrics.
· Communicate and collaborate across the team and business to drive deliveries and ensure appropriate Agile ceremonies are in place.
· Promote innovative approaches and practices within our team with regards to planning, risk mitigation, and dealing with challenging situations.
· Improve capabilities, strategies and processes to increase our speed of delivery while retaining the highest quality and actively communicate these goals across the team.
· Understand the strategic roadmap and vision for this domain.
· Assist Delivery Leads in the communication of delivery metrics and health to their Governance boards.
· Monitor progress against agreed quality and performance criteria and identify and encourage opportunities for improvement.
· Promote collaboration and create a shared drive and purpose within the domain.
· Represent CRRF and be the key contact for other Agile communities of practice within BP and IST.

Essential experience and job requirements
· As Scrum Master and/or Product Owner, you will have a deep understanding and practical experience of different Agile and Lean approaches and supporting context.
· Experience delivering challenging projects in the role of Scrum Master with geographically remote teams.
· Experience transitioning teams from Waterfall to Agile.
· Delivery experience using the Agile or Scrum tools.
· Ability to accurately understand the health of a project and identify educative actions or activities required to bring the project back into alignment with expectations.
· Delivery experience with large-scale enterprise-wide IT environments containing multiple technologies, physical and logical environments.
· Analytical, and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
· Experience working within a matrix organization.
· Strong communication and influencing capabilities to drive initiatives within the team, our business, and across external teams at various levels of leadership.
· Effectively influences key decision makers and team members.
· Promotes a culture of innovation and develops innovative strategies and approaches.

Desired profile
Essential Education
· Certification in Agile Delivery: Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Professional or similar certification.
· Professional accreditation of Project Management Professional or Prince2.

· Experience with data warehouses and data warehouse concepts
