Role synopsis

As part of the Murex DevOps team, we are looking to recruit a technical developer with strong C++, ideally with experience of ETRM API development.

Based in London you will form a key member of Murex development team, taking responsibility for learning, maintaining and tuning the Murex FLEX libraries used to integrate our analytics in the platform. You will extend the API to meet new business requirements, drawing on your understanding of financial options pricing to integrate custom pricing libraries for commodity derivative products.

Key accountabilities

·  Take responsibility for the maintenance and the extension of the existing Murex FLEX library
·  Learn, understand and tune the existing code to achieve greater performance and reliability
·  Understand the desk requirements in order to design a proper API based solution for their needs
·  Analyse and correct bugs and issues reported by the users
·  Implement the validation and non-regression tests to ensure the high quality of the API
·  Follow software development processes, standard methodologies and automated test driven approach.
·  Document the API modification and provide work estimates
·  Work with Grid compute farms for parallelised computation
·  Establish close relationships with the business users and work in a team of developers and Business Analysts within Global Oil Information Technology and Services
