Role synopsis
Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, the post holder will be accountable for the management of the Control Of Work process within the operations areas and the Integrated Control of Work system administration (after implementation).
The Operations Area Authority will also liaise closely with the other site Area Authorities to identify potential Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) clashes and act as Affected Area Authority for any activities that have an impact on their area.
The role shall work a 2 week on 2 week off rota working 10 hour days / 7 days per week during the yard phase.
During offshore Hook up and Commissioning (HUC) phase a 2 week on 2 week off rota shall be worked, 12 hours per day, 7 days per week.
The role is planned to end shortly after production begins in Q4 2018

Key accountabilities
•Comply and adhere to the Permit to Work Procedure requirements and the Energy Isolation Procedure.
•Overall responsibility for the safe control of work activities in accordance with the Control of Work procedure within their designated area. This includes the issue of all Work Permits.
•Liaising closely with the Performing Authorities (PA's) when planning permits, to ensure that the appropriate hazards and controls have been identified for that task.
•Ensuring that the appropriate level of riskassessment has been carried out for the task & Isolation (Level 1 or 2).
• Ensuring that all Prerequisite control measures have been put in place prior to a permit being issued, confirming that the Performing Authority (PA) fully understands the scope of the task.
• Create a culture to “STOP the Job” if anyone feels unsafe
• Approval (or delegate to a competent Isolating Authority (IA)) of isolation design, control of isolation implementation and ensuring that the Isolation Confirmation Certificate (ICC) is attached or cross-referenced to the correct Work Control Certificate (WCC) prior to issuing. Also ensuring that the isolation is properly removed after completion of all the works associated/referenced to the ICC and cancellation of those permits.
• To ensure that the worksite inspections are carried out before, during and after the performance of each task (some of this task activity may be delegated to a competent nominated person).
• To ensure that there is a walkthrough of every work site activity before, during and after completion of work as a minimum.
• Validate lessons learned and audits.
• To ensure that all WCC's are closed and archived once the task is completed and the WCC has been “Job Completed” or “Incomplete” by the Performing Authority
• Be familiar with all AGTR Control of Work documents.
• Issue and Revalidate Permits
• Attend the SIMOPS Meeting and discuss all aspects of COW within your area.
• Stand-in for the Operations Team Leader when required.
• Active participation in site auditing system
Essential Education
Technical degree (Post-Secondary or Higher Technical Education in areas related to Oil & Gas exploration, production & processing) or equivalent operational experience
Desirable criteria and qualifications
· Experience in executing Control Of Work as an Area Authority or site controller in the oil and gas industry
· Experience in High Pressure leak testing
· Fluent in English
· Experience with Subsea production systems & Topsides interfaces
· Experience with Offshore Gas Production Operations
· Working overseas in a multicultural environment
