Description of assignment
The role:
To provide a focal point for the resolution of facilities requests reported either onsite or through the dedicated facilities management helpdesk.
To ensure the satisfactory completion of any assigned tasks including installations, repairs, planned maintenance tasks and also general premises checks
To carry out regular litter patrols of the estate to keep premises, grounds and car park areas tidy, swept and free of leaf and litter accumulation, ensuring that external rubbish bins and ashtrays are emptied regularly and that hard surfaces are free from weeds. To also provide an emergency response in the event of adverse weather conditions by undertaking snow clearance and gritting
As part of a team be responsible for the security of the estate following the appropriate site specific security rules and procedures.
To work as part of the wider FM team and “back fill” across all areas of service delivery for other team members on leave. Such as Porterage, hosting and escorting duties, cleaning , external grounds, minor M&E tasks, post room, waste collection, meeting room set ups and provision of security guard services (shift and non-shift)
Working 40 hours per week, 0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday. Flexibility required.

The person:
Experience in a similar role is essential
Good customer care and people skills
Able to work unsupervised
Basic handyperson skills / experience
Experience in setting up for meetings and events
Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
SIA Licence is essential
Able to obtain DBS (formally CRB) check
Candidate criteria
Education level
A Levels / BTEC National Diploma
