Description of assignment
The role:
Reporting to the Facilities and Services Manager
To receive and record all items of property requiring safe storage as well as retrieval of the items when requested in a timely fashion
To ensure that the stores are kept clean and tidy at all times and to make arrangements with officers to destroy or dispose of stored items which are no longer required
To ensure strict adherence to MPS property manual and procedures
The hours for this post are 24 hours per week, 08:00 to 17:00, Wednesday to Friday
The person:
Good communication and interpersonal skills with a diligent customer service attitude
Will have excellent record keeping and problem solving skills
Able to work independently and in a proactive manner, with the ability to manage own time to ensure activities are completed within agreed time frames
Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
Subject to security vetting by the Metropolitan Police
