Job description

Bourne & Hollingsworth is a creative lifestyle company, specialising in entertainment and hospitality.
We are looking for a new PR and Marketing Intern to join our friendly and creative team for a four month placement.

THE PLACEMENT:
We are looking for a PR and Marketing Intern to assist with our New Year's Eve campaigns across the various event brands and venues. You will be working closely with our in-house marketing and PR team, gaining valuable insight into the events industry. We are a small team and there is a possibility of a full time job at the end of the internship for the right candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compiling and updating local business databases
Writing press releases
Following up with journalists over the phone
Conceiving and developing PR and marketing campaigns with the rest of the team
General support to the PR and marketing team
Compiling post event campaign reports
Developing new and interesting stories for existing campaigns
Identifying and understanding new and existing target markets
Insight into the hospitality industry, specifically into food and drink marketing
Helping to plan local and press initiatives alongside the marketing team

Desired profile

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate must have a passion for the hospitality industry, a hands-on attitude, a strong work ethic and a creative mind, all vital ingredients for this internship. Fluent English speakers are a must, and the successful candidate will be able to speak clearly and confidently on the phone. Excellent written English is also important for writing press releases and other copy.
London based candidates would be ideal, as a good knowledge of London's bar and event scene are important in this placement, as are good organisational and communication skills.

With multiple existing event brands and venues and more on the way, this is a really exciting opportunity to gain a thorough insight into lifestyle marketing and PR. A strong work ethic is indispensable, as are attention to detail and the ability to see a job through from start to finish.
