In-House Junior Graphic Designer

We are seeking bright, enthusiastic and talented Junior Designer to take up a 6 month design internship (with the possibility of a permanent role) within a leading Digital Marketing agency within the UK.

As a Junior Designer / Graduate Designer, the individual should be a highly creative bright spark that can grow and be nurtured into a more developed role. The graphic designer is expected to be heavily involved and manage creative design of websites, emails, infographics, online adverts, slideshows, presentations as well as supporting the wider design and development teams.

Are you creative, full of great ideas and possess Quark, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat skills? Do you have what it takes to work within a fun and creative environment? If so, this is your chance to make your mark on the world of graphic design.

Preferred Skills:
• Good design skills with knowledge of Adobe’s Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator, plus Flash,Edge Animate knowledge, InDesign and Quark would be a plus;
• Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint;
• Able to work from detailed written specifications, liasing with a content author.
• Able to stick to a design style, and develop it as required. We like people who take the initiative.
• Creative flair for delivering high-quality design.
• An ability to work to deadline and to take on creative critique to evolve designs;
• An understanding of online technologies;
• Good communication with fluent written and spoken English;
• Able to design eye-catching graphic designs for sales and marketing
• Good team player that’s happy to take on new challenges;
• The ambition to manage a team of designers within the next 12 – 24 months.
• A proactive person with excellent organisational skills
• Willingness to be directed, but also the ability to work independently
• A relevant qualification in graphic design
• A link to an online portfolio with a clear indication of personal involvement in each project.

Desired profile

Other Information:
• It is a full-time role of 35 hours per work.
• The successful applicant will begin on a 6-month fixed contract (probation period), and a full-time contract will be negotiated after this period.
• Payment will be discussed and agreed upon on application (above minimum wage).
