Your contribution to something big

The Project Quality Engineer (PQE), works on targeted strategic programs from kickoff, through closure in a global team environment, to ensure successful product and project launches by working with multiple disciplines. The ideal candidate will be responsible to support successful product launches by working with multiple disciplines including Engineering, Program Management and Manufacturing, to assure quality requirements are met by driving compliance to critical functional and system performance objectives. Cover software-quality management requirements and support the organization of internal/customer reviews (ASPICE assessment, VDA6.3 process audits, ISO26262, ISO 16949, Safety Analysis reviews, FMEA reviews, etc.). Promote preventive quality actions derived from lessons learned, project test plans, etc., and support in the selection/application of Bosch standards, directives, processes and tools, including the interpretation of existing standards for new use cases to optimize the project outcome. Moderation of Quality Gates (QG’s) and Software Reviews (SWR). The PQE is a critical role in the management of projects with ever increasing complexity. Acceptance criteria on the customer side are driving higher reliability specifications on the component level which require ever increasing focus on safety. The core scope of the PQE includes: Improving project quality on targeted projects within the Chassis Systems Controls Division and getting agreement on the Quality Assurance Plan at the start of projects, and driving compliance. Organization of confirmation measures to reach Functional Safety and lead and mentor teams in deriving root causes for serious process deficiencies and technical problems by applying the 8D problem solving process as development issues are identified.

What distinguishes you

Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical Field (Electrical, Mechanical, Software strongly desired)
•3 or more years of experience in development engineering
•Experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
•Experience in quality related applications (Quality Assurance, etc.)
•Experience in Project Management
•Experience in project software development (software project leading and automotive desirable)
•Experience leading continuous improvement efforts and change management
•Prior work experience supporting a global, highly matrixed organizational structure
Preferred Qualifications:
•Knowledge of software quality assurance
•Working knowledge of ASPICE, ISO26262, Auditing credentials
•Experience mentoring/coaching team’s/individuals
•Technical knowledge in chassis controls related products (HW and SW)
•Strong communication and organizational skills
•Ability to coordinate and to sustain quality requirements in projects
•Capable to build credibility when working with global technical and non-technical teams and of establishing and working to targets and objectives independently
