Your contribution to something big

The Cost Accounting Analyst will provide tactical analytical support that will drive margin & variance analysis throughout the company.

·  Gather details and compile data to estimate all production costs per part, according to specifications, considering raw materials, labor hours, machinery hours, tariffs, etc.
·  Analyze variances compared to planned production price (PPC). Support make or buy decisions.
·  Provide feedback to production management and for BPS (lean) initiatives.
·  Analyze the deviation between pre- and after-calculations, per project.
·  Keep track of projects in production and in progress (running forecast).
·  Work in close alignment with Project Estimator and establish a learning loop.
·  Provide feedback to the management about margin slippage and potentials.
·  Monthly and Year-end closing support (including journal entries, reconciliations and reporting).
·  Will act as Backup Cost Accountant and be the Lead on multiple projects from a controlling perspective, focusing on material cost reduction, standard costing in ERP, perform cost function and ensure accuracy of standard costs.
·  Analyze costs as related to customer pricing, identifying market trends, profitability issues and opportunities working closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Service and Development engineering.

What distinguishes you

·  Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or commensurate experience with a minimum of two years of related experience, preferably in a Manufacturing environment.
·  Prior work experience in a controlling, accounting or production control department of a manufacturing site.
·  Must be a team player with an affinity for production and strong computer skills (MS-Excel, ERP: SAP preferred).
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated analytical competencies and continuous improvement mentality.
·  Familiar with standard production concepts, standard price, production procedures, and a willingness to go out and talk to production group leaders/communication skill to shop floor.
