Your contribution to something big
As an Associate System Engineer, you will be a part of the team developing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and work on advanced functions that relate to Autonomous Driving. Our rapid-prototyping team is responsible for putting together proof-of-concepts on the system level for OEM/Stakeholder evaluations for various ADAS functions (e.g. Traffic Jam Assist/Pilot, Highway Assist/Pilot).
•Design Software/Function architecture support portable, scalable and modular against a variety of system architectures (e.g. sensor and actuator variance, host processor variance and communication interfaces) •Apply state of art software design patterns •Design function/software components that allows for maximum re-use •Improve readability and testability of prototype code •Identify interfaces for standardization •Design, Implementation and testing of behavioral state machines • Support safety analysis of advanced driver assistance and autonomous driving functions
What distinguishes you
Basic Qualifications: •BS or higher education in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree •3-5 years of academic or professional experience in software code, software architect and embedded control systems
Preferred Qualifications •Good programming skills (C/C++, Java) as well as Matlab/Simulink experience •Knowledge of driver assistance sensor technologies and functions as well as vehicle electrical architecture •Good communication skills to discuss issues / solutions with team and external customers •Capable to work independently in an organized and structured fashion •Comfortable with in-vehicle test activities *Passionate about developing cutting edge technology with aggressive time plans •Flexible, willing to travel up to 3 weeks/year, and participate in test drives •Experience with Vector tools such as CANape and CANalyzer •Experience with designing state machines and scalable software architecture •Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN and Automotive Ethernet
•Experience with planning, conducting, evaluation and documentation of test results •Knowledge in automotive systems including driver assistance technology, control theory, vehicle dynamics, as well as autonomous driving systems •Experience with Android development and script writing (Perl/Python)
