The trains being delivered from the Derby manufacturing facility have recorded world record breaking reliability statistics.

We are currently looking to recruit a Test Engineer for our Train 0 testing facility, located in Derby, UK

YOUR ROLE

You will be part of a highly experienced team, working on a test facility that implements Model Based Design techniques to optimise everything from requirements capture and validation, through design and on to validation & verification testing at a sub-system and system level for rolling stock.

You will be working on high-profile projects such as rolling stock for the new Elizabeth line (Crossrail) for Transport for London, LOtrain for London Overground and the East Anglia project for Abellio. With exciting bids and projects coming on-stream in 2017.

YOUR TASKS
• Rig preparation, configuration, maintenance and fault finding
• Review and analyze systems test specifications
• Development of system and sub-system hardware / software test requirements
• Executing tests and troubleshooting failures, identifying faults as they arise
• Writing fault reports that include a complete characterization of the conditions under which they were triggered

Desired profile

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with testing complex engineering systems, rolling stock experience is desirable
• Ability to fully analyze a problem and complete detailed reports
• Focus on deadlines, flexibility, determination, planning and control
