Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we are looking for a Propulsion Systems/Software Engineer for Bombardier’s Rail Systems Division to support turnkey projects including all phases on project execution. You will be Responsible for AC Traction Motor control on rail transit projects such as LRV’s, Metros and People Movers. Apply / adapt standard motor control on new projects. Support Motor Control on existing Projects. Interface with Product Design Team.

In your role you will:

The System Engineer will develop the system and sub-system level technical requirements from customer and internal requirements and ensure that these consistent, complete and correct.

As the System Engineer will develop the system and sub-system level technical requirements from customer and internal requirements and ensure that these consistent, complete and correct.

As the System Engineer will design the propulsion system architectures based on the requirements and product portfolio. Create customer and internal documentation according to the process and project requirements.

As the System Engineer will develop the system level tests to verify and validate the system requirements. He will execute and documents the tests on simulators, in the power lab and on the vehicle.

The System Engineer will perform RAMS analysis and documentation.

The System Engineer will design propulsion software for LRV’s, Metros and People Movers

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering BSEE with relevant experience

At least 2 years experience in the railway sector or a similar industry.
