Purpose of the Job

· The role of the Business Application Owner (BAO) is to ensure that the RCS requirements and needs with regards to the application tool, IBM RQM, are addressed.

· The BAO represents all functions and users within RCS in communication with BT and IS/IT. In order to accomplish this task the Coordinator is expected to have technical experience of the tool usage within RCS, as well as an understanding of the setup of the tool itself, this in order to be able to argue for RCS requirements, and in order to guide interfacing functions.

· The BAO should act as the RCS second line support with regards to issues related to the operation of, or the usage of, RQM.

Key Responsibilities

· Aligns and coordinates all functional activities/requirements of key users for a given organization and site

· First contact for the site management, the key users as well as the IS organization (Application Management, Business Analyst, Business Relationship Manager) for all content related questions

· Escalates issues to the application manager and secures proper incident ticket creation

· Standardize Process definitions for Quality Management artifacts (Test Plan, Test Case…)

· Customize Process templates, artifacts templates and project templates as required by the organization or the projects/product areas

· Author/Build custom reports as requested by the application/project areas in wither CLM reporting solution or Rational Publishing Engine

· Define tool implantation procedure and document tool how to guidelines

· Create application roles and permissions for the individual CLM project areas if requested.

· Coordinate with the other common tool set applications (RQM, DOORS) for any changes to be implemented.

· Validate new CLM upgrades and patches as applied to Rational CLM environment

· Manage and troubleshoot any integrations and integration issues with in CLM and DOORS.

· Participate and contribute to the CLM enterprise (BT IS) deployment architectural changes

Has basic commercial awareness, strong understanding of concepts and procedures in own discipline & sound knowledge in adjoining disciplines.

Leadership – Management or Technical

· Experience of leading projects within a matrix style organization.

· Able to take personal responsibility for managing product introduction into the market from an engineering perspective

· Able to present rollout strategy confidently to stakeholders and management

Problem Solving

Experience in resolving project conflicts, and producing innovative solutions/ideas and understanding technical and commercial constraints.
