Job description

This Taxation Specialist role will act as a lead for Boeing’s recently established UK based tax team with multiple corporate international income tax responsibilities associated with the Company's European operations.

The individual will be part of the Corporate Tax Department of Boeing (primarily based in the US) and report to the Director of International Taxation (currently based in Australia).

Responsibilities include:

·         Advising on the direct and indirect tax consequences of new business operations or opportunities as the company expands in the European market

·         Assisting with European tax planning projects to ensure a global tax-efficient structure

·         Managing European tax compliance and audits

·         Preparation of tax provision calculations for relevant European entities

This person will work closely with other tax team members, financial/cost accountants, legal counsel, business operational, regional leadership personnel, outside consultants, and others to ensure the provision of timely advice and guidance, accurate tax reporting and optimum tax efficiency.

The candidate must be a highly motivated individual with a demonstrated understanding of complex cross border and European tax issues, income tax accounting concepts, and the ability to manage a high volume of transactional activity.

The candidate will have excellent analytical skills, including the ability to research, summarize findings and develop conclusions and recommendations on various tax issues, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.

The individual will be comfortable in working independently as required with confident communication and presentation skills at a level appropriate for Regional Leadership.

The candidate will be flexible in working with team members based across global time zones, which will require supporting off-hour (evenings/weekend) meetings and calls.

International travel required from time to time.

  • Accounting or Finance degree
  • Chartered Accounting or CPA Post Graduate Qualification

Ideally experienced within a chartered accounting Firm and a commercial/Industry based taxation role.
