Job description
Identifies evaluates and incorporates new and innovative methods technologies and tools to build data sets and run models/simulations to support business decisions. Monitors trends and conducts studies in logistics modeling. Develops new systems to gather data. Prepares and analyzes complex data to develop and manage multiple data sets to run demand forecasting strategic optimization initial spares models and logistics simulations on complex projects. Analyzes manipulates updates and optimizes multiple complex models. Uses complex models to estimate resource needs. Assists in the development of new modeling and simulation tools technologies and business and application processes to identify process improvements. Assesses supply chain practices to improve cost and cycle time.
Key Activities

Work with stakeholders to Define and document material planning processes

Lead/Support Lean+ projects as they relate to material Planning

Work with the Seattle demand planners and local Maintenance planners to develop & manage the Material support plans.

Develop and manage departmental metrics.

Conduct Inventory Analysis to determine stock plan accuracy and relevance as it pertains to BCASEL Customers.

Work with the Seattle Service Bulletin Materials Coordinator and the local Maintenance Planners and Engineers to develop & communicate robust material support plans for Service Bulletins.

Work with the Seattle Service Bulletin Materials Coordinator and external suppliers as required to develop Material Support plans for Service Bulletins.

Ensure Material deficiencies at required locations are known in advance and plans are implemented to ensure availability to support plans.

Ensure system records are accurate and up to date in terms of material plans

Work with Customers to develop plans for Customer Furnished Material

Qualifications

Computer literacy

Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.

Excel – High level of capability (Pivots, V Lookups, Graphs, Statistical Data Analysis)

Powerpoint – Medium (Presentations, Graphs)

Word – Medium (Procedures drafting)

MS Access – Medium (Create databases, forms, data analysis)

SQL

Visio, Oracle and Maintenix would be a bonus.

Experience of demand forecasting tools such as Armac RioSys, SPO or similar network modelling tools.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to project a positive customer interface at all times

Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum direct supervision

Good organisational & presentation skills

Analytically minded and comfortable in dealing with data

Fluency in written and verbal English

Highly numerate with prior materials planning experience

Experience of using ARMAC/RioSys, Servogistics planning tools.

significant experience in materials planning, preferably in the airline/aviation industry

Desired requirements include a relevant university degree eg (Business Management, Mathematics, Science or Engineering) and/or 3-5 years related experience, in a Materials Management/ Inventory Planning Analyst.

Must hold a valid passport and driving license.
