This is a creative media role involving the development of creative design strategies to meet the need, not purely converting content into e-learning modules. Level 3 developer must have extensive experience in using media to deliver an experience that engages, challenges and motivates learners. SME level knowledge of 3D and 2D software packages, and good knowledge of training principles within the CBT/WBT environment.
The role requires a wide range of e-learning design, media and supplier-management skills.
Key responsibilities will include:
•Multimedia developer and graphic designer for various training products. Using 3DMax and other Adobe products. Knowledge of instructional design and/or right hemisphere beneficial.
•Participate in the conduct of Training Needs Analyses (TNAs), cost-benefit analyses and the preparation/presentation of reports regarding the development, implementation and evaluation of training solutions and associated curricula.
•Participate in research, and make recommendations for the deployment of emerging training technologies.
•Very high level of skill in texturing, animation, 3D modelling, lighting & rendering. Be able to support Level 1 & 2 developers and nurture their learning by passing on experience
•High level CAD Data management
•Create and animate the top end/complex graphics
•Have ability to design and develop highly interactive learning content.
•Adapting and modifying existing project code.
•Work alongside development teams.
•Work to deadlines and budgets.
•Research new technologies and methods.
The successful candidate must also be prepared to travel with periods of time away from Welwyn Garden City and must hold a full UK passport and UK driving licence.
Competencies:
ANALYTICAL SKILLS. Must be able to follow graphic processes outlined by the Graphics Lead. Engineering knowledge would be beneficial.
TRAINING DESIGN. Ability to design and develop innovative and efficient training solutions and interventions using latest media and technologies advantageous.
MANAGING WORK. Able to prioritise and recognise critical versus non critical tasks. Make effective use of time and resources. Must be able to work on multiple projects at once
COMMUNICATION SKILLS. Highly developed communication skills and able to deliver coherent and persuasive written and verbal communications.
INDUSTRY AND GOVERNMENT STANDARDS. Knowledge of industry, military and government specifications, handbooks and standards.
Education and Experience:
Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant training or educational discipline, with a recognised training design/delivery qualification.
•Experience delivering a multitude graphic designs, 3D models and training simulations for multiple customers. Need a full and comprehensive portfolio of previous work
•Detailed knowledge of training methodologies, principles and practices very advantageous
The successful candidate will be from a multi disciplinary background with a proven track record of having demonstrated the key competencies listed above. Requires expertise and experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
Other job related information:
