Job description
Purpose:Trainee Test Analyst. Learn how to design & execute tests and prepare test data for testing defect resolution & for small improvements to “real World” enterprise scale systems and solutions.
Context: Working in the Core Test Team part of Information Services. Supporting defect resolution (sustainment teams) & projects (improvement\enhancement teams).
Responsibilities:
- Designing tests to test resolution of defects
- Defining tests for small system improvements
- Understand & define ‘black box’ tests
- Executing tests (mostly manual)
- Defining test data
- Learn the basics of test planning
- Support Test Manager in Test Process Improvement work – improving how the test team functions.
- Support permanent Test Analysts & Test Lead

Qualifications
- Exposure to programming (in classroom) desirable
- Understanding of software\systems development concepts
- Understanding of Software Development lifecycle concepts (e.g. difference Waterfall & Agile).
- MS Office – Word, Excel.
- Preferably working towards an IT related degree.
