In return we are looking for this individual to provide HR Business Partner support and services to the Boeing Defence UK Ltd Supply Chain, Business Development and Business Support functions and Training Services Programmes based in both Yeovil and Bristol.
Background:
A fully integrated subsidiary of the Boeing Company, Boeing Defence UK Ltd (BDUK) has been established in the UK to further develop on-shore capability to provide improved customer support, responsiveness and value for money for the end customer the MoD. Headquartered in London, it has over 1000 employees located at over 20 other locations within the UK including Bristol, Gosport, Yeovil and Milton Keynes. With an annual order-book in excess of 700M, programmes include Chinook Through Life Customer Support, Apache Integrated Operational Support, Supply Chain Information Services (SCIS), a major MoD TUPE contract and most recently Training businesses delivering a range of Chinook, C17 and Synthetic Training services for pilots and maintenance technicians.
Over the past 5 years BDUK has experienced rapid business and people growth and has grown its HR function to support the provision of sophisticated and business integrated HR processes and systems.
Based at Yeovil in a stand-alone role, but with frequent attendance required at the Bristol office, the HRBP will report to the HR Leader, UK & Ireland. The incumbent will work closely with UK, International and US HR, and related functional and business support teams to deliver HR support and services and integrate HR activities with business activities and priorities. The role will have specific responsibility for BDUK functions (Supply Chain, Business Operations and Business Development) and will be the HR Business Partner for the newly created Training Services Programme. Integrated business and people focused HR support and services is a key enabler and viewed as critical to the success and continuing growth plans for BDUK.
Responsibilities:
- As a member of the UK HR team, deliver UK and Boeing enterprise-wide HR support, services to Boeing UK employees and, specifically, HR guidance and advice to the Supply Chain, Business Operations, Business Development and Training Services, employees and Leadership team.
- Work closely with the leadership team to understand their business strategies and plans in order to help develop the enabling HR strategies and plans to support business milestones and commercial goals.
- Support leaders in managing the HR aspects of the functional and program contracts including, Staffing, TUPE Transfers, Employee/ TU relations, Organisation, Compensation and Benefits, Training and Development in partnership with UK, International and US HR functional specialists.
- Advise leaders on the interpretation and application of HR processes and policies and support the process by which BDUK creates and delivers employee capability.
- Provide support and partner with the UK HR, International ad US specialist HR teams, Employee Services and specialist functions to integrate BDUK functions and Programmes into The Boeing Company’s culture, processes, policies and support functions.
- Support the delivery of a people culture, processes and climate for high quality business delivery. To support the HR Change Management intitiatives to deliver ‘One Boeing’ value and expertise.
- Participate on Boeing HR special projects or teams as needed to review and improve on delivery of HR processes and policies.
- Partner with Employee Services and specialist functions to maintain employee data in HR systems and educate employees on the use of HR systems (e.g.TotalAccess) by actively assisting in the learning process to attain employee self-reliance and proficiency.
- Deliver a climate of trust and employee engagement which investigates employee concerns or complaints, develops resolutions, and counsels employees on a wide spectrum of matters including career and development opportunities.
- This role will be Yeovil based at least 3 days per week, with the other 2 likely to be in Bristol, or occasionally at other sites.
