Job description
A new and exciting requirement for a very strong Oracle Fusion 11g Developer, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in designing and developing integration applications using Oracle SOA Suite, has arisen at Boeing UK. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, testing, implementation and support of a complex integration solution.
The ideal candidate we’re looking for has the following skills
Strong experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware (11g) Products (Weblogic, SOA, OSB)
Strong knowledge of the Weblogic Application Server is required
Experience with Weblogic scripting development is a must
Knowledge of JBoss Application Server would be a plus
Strong UNIX scripting knowledge is required
Good knowledge of Oracle Databases, with hands-on SQL and PL-SQL coding
Strong Java Development Background is a must
Good Understanding of Core Technologies and SOA principles and specifications
Aptitude for visualizing, designing and developing software systems based on user requirements.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include the overall management and administration of existing production and non-production AI environments; production support including off hours on-call support, and management of associated system components and adapters. Prefer knowledge in development lifecycle and tools; system infrastructure such as Server/Storage/Networking/Active Directory, and virtualization. Provide leadership oversight, maintenance, and tuning of complex Oracle 11g environments. Provide leadership to AI internal and IT partners and customers. The candidate will provide oversight as well as perform installations, deployments, upgrades, application migrations, and infrastructure changes for Oracle 11g Fusion ensuring flawless execution and continuous production. The position requires cross team coordination and leadership with separate, but tightly coupled development and architecture teams, infrastructure support teams, key suppliers, and other Boeing programs utilizing the same technologies. The candidate will participate in performance analysis and certification of complex system integrations and will also be required to promote standard IT processes and architectural best practices. Position requires off-hours support of 7X24 environments and participation in an off-hour/weekend duty rotation so must be able to take on-call duties on a rotating basis. Preferred experience would include multi-year experience with administering Windows and UNIX/Linux servers and applications, and Oracle 10/11g systems administration experience. Provide technical leadership and cross training to peers in areas of expertise. Must also possess hands on experience with scripting through tools such as Python, Perl, Java, SOAP, ML, JMS, Ant, VBScript, Power Shell, etc, as well as the use of configuration management tools such as Subversion, and or Hudson a plus. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively multi-task in a global working environment. Some travel required. The current work location is Bristol, but could also accommodate working from our Milton Keynes site.

Qualifications
A batchelor degree in I.T. or business is essential.
Experience in a technical solution design role is essential.
Knowledge of working within the Defence sector would be a significant advantage
Experience of working within a matrix management environment and a large-scale, complex international organization, but also within small teams, would be advantageous.
