Job Profile

· As Post Doc you are responsible to optimize and execute induced pluripotent stem cell differentiation protocols to generate disease-relevant neurons which can applied in disease modeling and drug discovery
· You will apply state-of-the art gene-editing of disease-linked genetic risk variants in stem cells
· You will develop phenotypic assays to support target identification, validation and compound characterization
· You will present your research at internal and external meetings, and publish it in peer-reviewed journals
· You will Work in an interdisciplinary team of cellular and molecular biologists, electrophysiologists and pharmacologists

Requirements

· You hold a PhD in Biology or related research area and have experience in the field of induced pluripotent stem cell biology, with sound background in neuronal differentiation and gene-editing
· You have in-depth knowledge of neuroscience, and a background in psychiatric diseases (e.g. schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorders) is preferred.
· You have a demonstrated track record by publications in scientific journals
· Your fluency in English both in writing and in speaking will enable you to act in an international working environment.
· You are regarded as a strong team player and you like to work in multi-disciplinary global teams.
