Job description

As our new Logistics Manager you are responsible for an efficient, effective and customer focused material and goods flow management. You support the business units on all relevant logistic topics according to and in line with the applicable contracts, compliance, guidelines and laws. You manage the Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) inventory in collaboration with third party logistics with regard to master data, profit and loss, stock discrepancies, expired products and new version introductions.
· Participating in negotiations on logistics topics with suppliers, agents, third party logistics and customers
· Coordinating the material flow of production logistics (labeling, repackaging, display building, etc.)
· Being responsible for the corrective settlement of custom tasks and if necessary fixing custom tariff codes
· Applying Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for the transportation of goods
· Implementing corporate logistics procedures according to the responsibility area
· Organizing and managing the article master data in the BI ERP system and with third party logistics according to the existing operating procedures
· Ensuring an efficient stock management and the optimal availability of stock including the follow-up for releases, expiry dates and version changes

Job Profile

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Economics
· 3-5 years' work experience in logistics management
· Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or knowledge of customs an asset
· GMP/GDP experience preferred
· Good knowledge of Dutch or French and English
· Excellent knowledge of ERP, preferably SAP
· Experience with demand planning
· Good understanding of Master Data management
· Proven leadership skills
· Analytical and problem solving skills
· Strong customer focus
· Team player
