We currently have 2 Unibasic Software Developer opportunities available within our high performing IT Team; we have offices in both Central Belfast and Central Solihull, and are able to offer a flexible mixture of office based and home based working.

The purpose of this role is to design, develop, implement and support software changes and enhancements to the Credit Management Solution- Tallyman. On a day to day basis you will ensure smooth operability and no unplanned down time due specifically to the applications.

You will develop new applications in line with agreed development standards, based on technical specifications to meet required functionality, ensure analysis is properly conducted before starting on coding. This role will also see you evaluating software packages for functionality, business and technical fit.

You’ll be focused on continual improvement at all times; designing system test plans and scripts for various scenarios to ensure comprehensive testing always takes place and time is saved by having an automated, consistent approach.

This role also includes contributing towards the development of the Team; mentoring the software and trainee software developers within the business, completing peer checks and ensuring quality of code.

- Demonstrable experience within a comparable role, developing and supporting Unibasic applications: Coding in Unibasic, Unidata database and Unidata Fundamentals

- Ability to conform to development methodologies and standards

- Strong numeracy skills, perhaps gleaned from a previous financial role or within education

- Ability to appreciate the wider business perspective, and how your work fits in

- Low and High Level Design Experience

- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

- Track record of delivering to time, budget, scope and quality

- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel

- Ideally you’ll also have experience within Linux, SQL, Net Framework, VB or VB.Net
