As an Associate in BNP Paribas, your primary responsibility is to assist the Relationship Managers (RM) in the management of relationship with large Norwegian companies and subsidiaries of multinationals, with the aim to help developing the global relationships. You will work in several different projects and eventually in time be driving the projects more independently. You will work both internally with administration and documentation, but also participate and assist in customer meetings. As an Associate, you will take an active part in transformation initiatives and their sustainability, and assist and support in building the budget and risk / return data. This role will also include the following tasks:
• Support the RMs in originating business opportunities and coordinating subsidiaries relationships
• Support the RMs in the management of credit process- working with credit analysts to ensure Annual Reviews and transaction requests are processed in a timely manner prior to sign off and taking lead on credit Committee presentations
• Work alongside the bankers to efficiently handle account maintenance including KYC recertifications, on-boarding of new clients and entities as well as the many different matters related to the regulatory environment
• Actively assists the RMs in the preparation of Client Action Plans and briefing notes
• Keeping yourself updated about the client's agenda and credit strategy and communicating this information to relevant parties across the bank
• Act as a point of contact for clients in daily business and flow banking topics as well as substitute in the absence of the RM
• Assist the Country Manager from time to time in multiple commercial and managerial matters
Your profile
To be successful in this role you have a Master's degree in finance, with 1-3 years of relevant working experience. You have a real interest in the banking world and may possibly see yourself in a role as a credit analyst and/or relationship manager in the future. We believe that you are a good communicator with the ability to prioritize your duties and plan your time. You enjoy both the administrative part but also the client interaction, and see this as a great opportunity to develop within the organization. We believe that you like to work in exciting, multinational projects with stakeholders from different backgrounds, where you will have the opportunity to challenge your analytical ability. You possess excellent communication skills both written and spoken in English and Norwegian or one of the other Scandinavian languages.
