BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) in Switzerland provides to its clients financing, advisory and capital market services. Its global expertise is recognized in many areas including among others structured financing and derivatives across a variety of asset classes. CIB in Switzerland includes the following activities: Corporate Banking, Global Markets and Specialized Trade Solutions. Corporate Coverage provides to large and mid-cap Swiss Corporates and Swiss subsidiaries of international Corporates an integrated and homogeneous corporate banking offering comprising financing products and services, ranging from classic lending products to specialized financing to transaction banking (cash management, international trade finance and liquidity management products).

To reinforce our Compliance Team in Zurich we are looking for a:

Compliance Officer

This position is for a qualified and experienced compliance officer to work within the BNP Paribas (Suisse) S.A. Compliance Team in Zurich advising on Financial Security (FS) for CIB institutional clients, Global Markets as well as Corporate Coverage clients.

As Compliance Officer within CIB Financial Security Switzerland you are in charge of:

· Local responsibility to review and validate Know your Customer (KYC) / Due Diligence documentation on institutional clients (e.g. Global Market, FIC as well as Corporate Coverage clients)

· Review flow of funds to assess its adherence to the quality standards defined by the bank

· Contribution in ensuring compliance with external and internal regulations to actively manage operational, regulatory and reputational risks

· Contribution in training and informing employees in compliance matters in coordination with Compliance COO team in Switzerland

· Informing about material changes in the assessment of the compliance risks to management in a timely manner, identifying and investigating serious cases of non-compliance and supporting the management in its choice of instructions and counter-measures

· Interface to Sales Teams, Due Diligence Teams other related functions and cooperation with other compliance functions

The Compliance Officer reports hierarchically to the Team Leader in charge of Corporate Coverage clients, GM & FIC and ultimately to the Head of Financial Security CIB.

Required skills:



· Bachelor / Master degree in law / business administration, finance, postgraduate studies in Compliance Management or equivalent

· Fluent in English (spoken and written) and French, good knowledge in German

· Relevant experience in international banking and finance (preferably including experience in the investment or corporate arm of an international bank with substantial experience in capital markets transactions and Global Markets)

· Good interpersonal team skills

· Work effectively under pressure

· Good understanding of capital markets and banking products activities

· Advanced user of Microsoft Office
