Job description

Overall Job Purpose: Trading Desk Analyst to complement the existing team within the CEEMEA Credit Trading & Sales desk, based in London. The CEEMEA Credit Trading Desk Analysts operate under a non-objective desk analyst model, helping the trading desk position their risk and drive trade ideas, while at the same time providing views and trade ideas to emerging markets investors.

Key Responsibilities & Skills
Conducting detailed credit analysis of CEEMEA corporates (fins and non-fins) including financial modelling and analysis, and assessing macro-economic conditions, resulting in an investment opinion.
Clear knowledge and experience of corporate finance & experience of analysing financial statements
Knowledge of Turkish financial markets, politics and geopolitics.
Native Turkish Speaker
Monitoring of newsflow and updating models on a consistent basis.
Working closely with the trading desk to monitor market news and events and evaluate the risk and opportunities for clients and the firm's positions and strategy.
Providing clients with trade ideas based on credit, relative value and technical analysis, market data, prices and other factual information in line with compliance guidelines.
Providing internal teach-in on the covered credits, to improve the overall level of expertise of the platform.
As appropriate liaising with relevant internal risk functions: Legal, Compliance and Market and Credit Risk Management.
Actively promoting the firm's brand, products and services to new and existing clients.
Attend relevant training courses to maintain appropriate regulatory, product and technical skills.
Maintaining open communication with the trading group and direct line management to fulfil firm notification requirements and pass on client concerns.
Direct contribution to BNP Paribas operational permanent control framework

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Skills & Qualifications
Strong degree in economics or business preferably at the masters level
Relevant proven experience in a similar role (credit analyst), preferably with some sell-side experience
Good knowledge of CEEMEA markets
Good relative value skills
Fluent in written and spoken English & Turkish
Additional languages highly advantageous
Strong quantitative and computing skills - Technologically competent (Word, Excel, Internet, Bloomberg, Reuters)
Excellent communication skills (written and presentation)
