We are offering a great opportunity for an electrical test planning engineer. You will be expected to author and deliver UPS electrical test sequences to ensure successful implementation of project and model year programmes into production. Working closely with engineering and quality to resolve all issues during pre-series phases identifying test build story and delivering to takt. Ability to liaise directly with both UPS test suppliers regarding hardware and software (inc. Training) whilst benchmarking Group testing principles to identify future improvements for Bentley.

Your main responsibilities will be:

·  Using Prodis Automation (developed by DSA) to create automotive test sequences
·  Process Flow (Line/EOL/Sub Assembly) inc EHPV - Responsible for the identification, development and validation of test sequences (within takt) for all project and Model Year programmes (including CIP activities)
·  Test Authoring - Responsible for the generation and authoring of test sequences including validation
·  FAZIT - Responsible for the co-ordination of all group related activities/updates ensuring system knowledge to allow for updates to FAZIT servers/UPS connections, MySQL inc. ping/pong/pang, FAZIT online system, development of alignment rigs, checking power class and dummy VIN's. Act as deputy for Anti-Theft Steering Group
·  General Operation/Core System Architecture inc IT inc interfaces - Understands how all systems interact and their architecture including Prodis systems, wireless MFT's UPS server/architecture, IP addresses etc. Ensuring the interfaces to FIS channels, online FIS channels, WAM, Rolling Road, Fluid Fill, ICS are supported.
·  Complex Electrical System analysis and rectification - Responsible for the resolution for all related test problems including ECU/network test and development to support test delivery in line with EPE deliverables

You will have experience of:

·  Any of the following technologies: Java, Linux, C# or Python
·  Logical approach to problem identification and solving
·  Basic Linux knowledge using command line and shellscripts
·  Telnet/SSH - skills necessarily needed

This role would be suitable for graduates who have completed work experience on placement years with the above skills or candidates who have gained work experience in the above or software development.
