Black Swan is offering an internship to an individual with front-end development skills (acquired either through previous work/education, or self-taught as part of personal projects).This opportunity would suit someone looking to build on basic coding ability through working on a real, user-facing application in a commercial environment.

Desired profile

The right candidate will be have good working knowledge Javascript (experience with node.js particularly desirable), HTML forms, bootstrap & CSS, and high-level understanding of LDAP and embedded databases. The internship project will be developing a simple, elegant, highly-searchable searchable Knowledgebase application, accessed via web browser, starting from the existing source code (which makes use of Node packages, ExpressJS, and Lunr.js, and Markdown-it). The Knowledgebase has a flat structure and allows users to read, write and publish articles, as well as serving as a document repository.
