Job description
Rip Off Britain is a highly successful Daytime series which specialises in delivering high quality, accessible current affairs consumer journalism to a large audience. The Rip Off Britain team is part of TV Current Affairs in Salford, which also makes current affairs output for The One Show, Right On the Money and documentaries for BBC3.
Role Responsibility
The purpose of this role is to provide production, logistical and administrative support to the production team on one or more productions, coordinating production activities to ensure delivery is on time and within budget. As the day to day focal point for the production team, you will be responsible for managing the arrangements for all the resources needed for the production. Supporting the Production Manager, you will book technical facilities and equipment, , source resources, retrieve quotes from suppliers and negotiate deals. You need to be able to work to tight deadlines and cope well under pressure while producing work to a high standard.
The Ideal Candidate
You will already have experience of working as a Production Coordinator across a variety of output whilst also demonstrating an interest in Current Affairs output. You will be an adaptable individual who is highly organised and can work well under pressure. You will need to have excellent problem solving skills, a good communicator, have experience of working with budgets, hold good attention to detail when working in a fast paced environment and have a real can do attitude. Experience of working in a self-shooting environment, creating workflows and adapting to new technology is desirable.
