At its purpose built facility in Langstone Technology Park, Havant, Battelle UK Ltd uses modern formulation, analytical & testing equipment to develop & evaluate agrochemical formulations for clients from around the globe.

To support a renowned and rapidly expanding team of scientists we now require a full time, permanent Formulation Technician. This is a career development opportunity to work with, & learn from, a team of experienced Formulation Chemists, and work on a variety of technically challenging projects for our clients. The role involves preparing & testing formulations using a wide range of techniques. This is a predominantly laboratory based position, with good prospects for learning & progression.

Candidate profile:

• 
  Either Qualified, or expect to graduate shortly, with a First or Upper Second Class Honours BSc or MSc degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline
• 
  Or Qualified to BTEC or HTEC level in Chemistry, with at least two years practical experience in a Chemistry laboratory
• Good team working skills
• Enthusiastic & keen to learn
• Ability to work under pressure, delivering quality work within agreed time & resource utilisation targets
• Awareness of the requirements for safe working in a Chemistry laboratory, including COSHH & Risk assessments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good IT skills
• Ability to produce consistent, high quality test data & identify unusual results
• Flexible approach, as working in both our Formulation & Analytical teams may be required
