Job Title: UI Developer
Location: Pune

This role will support the delivery of solutions that enhance quality in Compliance Assurance within Barclays. The focus will be on implementation of applications to capture and report on Barclay's employee activity such as Personal Account dealings, personal Interests and outside affiliations, licensing and registrations, mandatory block leave, gifts and entertainment.
This is an opportunity to work on Strategic Compliance Assurance platform that uses cutting edge technologies like Angular 4.0, WIJMO and Barclays Now Framework.

What will you be doing?

· Implement the best standards in UI technology while working within UX requirements.
· Design the automation test system based on business requirement and long-term technology strategy and present it to management for approval.
· Review architecture and provide guidance on all aspects of design working closely with business, technical leads and Compliance CTO office
· Translate functional and technical requirements into IT solutions
· Develop fully functional modules that meet all the specifications and have successfully passed all tests including unit, integration, regression and system tests
· Estimate level of effort required to develop code that meets acceptance criteria
· Coordinate with other onshore and off-shore developers, deliver working code
· Tier-3 support and production release support- Respond promptly to requests from the support team in order to resolve user queries and handle technical issues that are out of scope for the support staff.
· Create system documentation
· Conduct peer reviews and provide documented constructive feedback
· Select appropriate tool sets and develop systems such that they fit into Barclays DevOps ecosystems
· Participate in regular release processes.
· Participate in Agile ceremonies, delivering as per commitments during each iteration.

What we're looking for:

· Bachelor's Degree
· Strong hands on experience in Java J2EE and Database (Sql server/Oracle)
· Hands on experience with Angular JS, HTML5
· Working knowledge in Perl and Unix scripting
· Good exposure in writing UI test cases is Jasmine and API/Java test cases in JUnit
· Ability to lead a team of highly skilled developers and own end to end development process
· Understanding of Agile methodologies as well as SDLC life-cycles and processes.
· Experience with software release/build processes (e.g., Continuous Integration, Automated Deployment, Test Driven Development, etc.)
· Good to have experience with CI and build tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins and Maven.
· Knowledge on Big Data technologies is a huge plus.

· Ability to understand business requirements and develop software solutions.
· Strong QA skills and ability to present the findings to the business users.
· Quick learner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal with numerous tasks simultaneously and with frequently changing priorities.
· Financial background is highly preferred.
· Demonstrable ability to communicate and build relationships with members of the business and technology communities.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Must be independent and creative in approach to problems and issues; assertive, tenacious, proactive

*Barclays recently announced the creation of a new world-class campus at Gera Commerzone located in Kharadi. All Pune based roles will eventually start to move to this new campus starting September 2019. In the run up to that, during the course of 2018, there may be transitory movements of some roles to other temporary sites.
