Barclays UK Capital owns the BUK Capital Plan and is responsible for ensuring compliance with defined internal Capital risk targets and regulatory requirements including optimisation of capital resources.


This role provides:

· Unique overview of how a bank's treasury department functions
· Wide exposure to Treasury management and a variety of Treasury and business stakeholders
· An opportunity to influence the capital strategy and long-term structure of Barclays UK
· Opportunity to develop a more detailed understanding of the various capital constraints the bank faces and how it manages its capital position on a day-to-day basis

The role holder will support the following:

· Run & manage critical CaLM processes including EWIs, HOLSA, Capital Plus, ILE, Capital Plan review and WFR processes to achieve BUK's strategic objectives of appropriate allocation of capital and compliance of regulatory responsibilities.
· Adhoc analysis including preparation of various Committee papers (treasury & ALCO committee, rating agencies and other board committees)
· Capital optimisation strategies and projects

Your Skills and Qualifications will include


Required:
· Affinity to work with numbers and strong excel and powerpoint skills
· Basic understanding of Finance and Accounting concepts
· Time management and capability to work independently on a number of priorities, capability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
· Driven individual interested in a role with growing responsibilities
· Team player, with a proven ability to interact at a wide range of levels in- and outside their own team

Preferred:
· Capital Management experience preferred
· Knowledge of BUK product base is preferred
