Job Title : Test Engineer
Location : Pune
Automation Test Analyst is accountable to the Test Lead/Lead Test Engineer and his/her core responsibility is to create and execute to the functional testing plan as defined by the Test Lead/Lead Test Engineer with minimal supervision.
· Responsible for creating and maintaining automated GUI and SOA test cases.
· Work very closely with the Test Lead to deliver robust test harnesses to meet complex testing needs of various projects.
· Execute and update the automated packs.
What will you be doing?
Time Split: 80% Project Delivery, 20% Non-Core Delivery (including Transformation tasks)
· To act as Module Automation Lead
· Participate in Test Plans
· To provide first level of IA and Provide view on Estimates
· Responsible for handling automation tasks of business scenarios and for delivering scripts according to project timelines in line with the Automation Teams quality standards.
· Responsible for creating Stubs to support end to end testing activities in Payments CIO.
· Execution of the existing ST and SIT regression packs and consolidated feedback to the automation lead on a regular basis.
· Works with the BA4 / AVP to deliver the assigned tasks.
· Should have Agile as well as Waterfall delivery knowledge
· Own the reusable test cases creation.
· Own and carry out test execution.
· Participate in the initiatives impacting Testing
· Participate in the initiatives impacting wider teams
· Lead and deliver as E2E lead 1 medium or couple of smaller projects with minimum supervision or Own a Module in Mid / Large project with minimum supervision
· Carry out initial screening of the Resume's for the Open Positions and also conduct initial round of interviews up to BA3.
· Identify the test cases for Regression and keep Regression pack optimized and automated.
What we're looking for:
· Good Java and Selenium skills
· Good BDD knowledge
· Good SQL skills
· Good Unix / Linux skills
· Exposure to GIT / Jenkins
· Exposure to middleware automation
· Experience of analysing project documentation to extract requirements, system functions and other features to be tested
· Experience of using test management tools (e.g. Jira / Agile Central ) to manage testing activity and to provide testing metrics
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Flexible and pragmatic approach to changes on projects
Skills that will help you in the role:
· Formal testing qualifications
· Any Degree, preferably in computer science
· Experience of the BFSI domain test automation.
