Sr. DataOps Engineer

Job description

Barclays Services LLC seeks a Sr. DataOps Engineer for its Wilmington, DE location.

Duties: (Multiple positions open). Develop and execute various software test plans to ensure the cause of software problems are identified. Support the implementation and sizing of customer data in regards to marketing campaigns. Support multiple applications and mainframe systems including TSYS/FDR. Utilize business and technical tools, such as SAS, ORACLE and UNIX. Identify and size populations to develop technical solutions and ensure that strict policies/ procedural guidelines are followed for projects and initiatives. Analyze data pulled and make sound decisions on large amounts of data and advanced problems.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, or closely related technical field and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or as a Data Analyst/Engineer, SAS Development, SQL Developer, or closely related position. Demonstrated experience must include: Utilizing Agile Scrum methodology to develop software at all levels of software delivery lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, testing, development, documentation, code review); Utilizing SAS/Python or R for data mining, cleansing and automating processes/resolving performance issues with existing systems; Utilizing Shell scripting and other data process systems to develop code aligned to the specific business requirements; Extracting data from multiple sources, such as Oracle, Teradata, and Hadoop, to load, modify and create data pipelines for multiple operational systems, by leveraging stream processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and Flink; Utilizing schedulers, such as Rundeck, Autosys and BCM Control-M, to create automated jobs and workflows supporting multiple work streams; Utilizing Github, Bitbucket and SVN version control tools to create branch tags for code changes; and Performing data controls validation and production alerting to ensure accuracy and quality of data being provided for operations. 40 hrs/wk.
