About Anti-Money Laundering Department

The AML Department of Barclaycard US is one of the first lines of defence in protecting the bank from being used for money laundering. To comply with the USA PATRIOT Act and the FFIEC Manuel the bank is required to perform Enhanced Due Diligence for high risk customers. The research, investigations and decisions made by each analyst keep Barclaycard US compliant to banking regulation and make it a safe place for customer's to bank.

Overall purpose of role:

Responsible for ensuring Suspicious Activity Reports being filed by Barclays Bank Delaware are in adherence to State and Federal regulatory compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC. The SAR QA Analyst will also be responsible for providing feedback to AML Management in regards to trends and training opportunities in order to continue improving the SAR reporting process and enable management to provide guidance to the SAR filers. In addition to the SAR quality assurance tasks, the SAR QA Analyst may also be tasked with other AML related quality assurance reviews on an as needed basis.

Key Accountabilities and Skills required:

· Review SARs filed by Barclays Bank Delaware to ensure they consistently meet Bank Secrecy Act requirements and regulator expectations.
· Provide regular feedback relating to quality assurance reviews to AML Management in order for AML Management to continue providing guidance to SAR filers on how to improve their SAR reporting.
· As needed, conduct trend analysis on SARs filed by Barclays Bank Delaware, to include deficiencies in SAR reporting, training opportunities, but also in regard to suspicious activity, account type, and/or geographic trends identified.
· Prepare responses to SAR filers in regards to whether or not their SAR report has been approved or requires additional updates prior to e-filing.
· Assist in implementation of AML/BSA detection and prevention methods, such as training and instruction manuals.
· Assist with departmental tracking and reporting.
· Support any special projects or critical casework.
· Actively ensures compliance with the Barclays Bank Delaware Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security, and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies, and procedures.

o Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas.

Risk and Control: All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Your Skills and Qualifications will include

o Bachelor's Degree or equivalent AML or Fraud related experience

o 3 or more years of credit card or banking experience

Preferred Qualifications

o Compliance, Audit, Risk, Fraud, or related experience a plus

o ACAMS Certification preferred

o Knowledge of BSA / AML and OFAC regulations

o Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

o Attention to detail, understands importance of accuracy and responsiveness

o Strong Analytical and Problem Solving skills

o Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written

o Results driven with a commitment to continuous process improvement and quality

o Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

o Ability to work independently under minimal supervision

o Proficient in Microsoft applications
