Functions Transformation is a business transformation department within Operations & Technology. We service a very diverse client base including Treasury, Finance, Group risk, HR, Financial Crime, Compliance and Central Functions. SAP Finance Technology team within Functions Transformation department is a key partner to Finance teams across Barclays in enabling and delivering Global Services and Solutions for the Business, primarily via the bank's enterprise SAP platforms.

Overall purpose of role:

Working as part of the Global SAP BASIS team in Pune to provide project delivery support, across the SAP landscape (SAP ECC 6.0, SAP BW 7.0, SAP Enterprise Portal 7.0, SAP SRM 7.0, SAP PI 7.0, MDM, Hana, OpenText). The team also focuses on continued service improvements (CSI), SAP performance and landscape optimization and driving automation.

Additional responsibilities include adhering to ITIL best practices and ownership of the ITIL processes.

Key Accountabilities and Skills required:

o Key specific accountabilities.

· Work with global IT & projects teams to ensure seamless support for project delivery

· Work closely with development teams to assist in designing the infrastructure and environment for new SAP implementation

· Expected to work with stakeholders and face off to and partner project managers to manage the technical workstream for project delivery

· Driving best practice architecture design and ensuring the project is sized correctly

· Providing 3rd level support for the RUN team

· Seamlessly providing transition of project t delivery to the RUN team with well documented design and how-to documents

· Actively identify efficiency improvement opportunities and work on service improvement plans and driving automation

This role involves weekend work once every month to implement productive changes in the maintenance window.

o Stakeholder management and leadership.

· Work with global business IT & projects teams to ensure seamless support for the business

· Provide technical support during the major production issues in the SAP estate – Facing off to the service management team in understanding the business impact and the steps to address.

· Actively identify efficiency improvement opportunities and work on service improvement plans

o Decision making and problem solving.

· Interface with business users for problems that require permanent fix and provide suggestions / solutions, where feasible

· Work closely with other project team members to assist in designing of new BASIS implementation.

o Risk and Control: All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards

Your Skills and Qualifications will include:

· Competent with SAP ECC 6.0, SAP BW v7, SAP SRM v7, Enterprise Portal v7, SAP PI v7, Solution Manager v7, SAP CE 7, SAP NW 7, Solution Manager, SAP LVM, SAP HANA

· Competent with SAP solutions on Windows, LINUX and Oracle (11g +)

· Experience with using Service Now

· Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Cluster Service (MSCS)

· Experienced with distributed computing, virtualization, SAN and NAS storage concepts

· Well versed in different technologies and infrastructure

· Strong/clear verbal & written communication skills

· Good problem solving and analytical skills

· Ability to understand the business context and respond to users in a clear and timely manner

· Ability to work under pressure and continue to support users and applications

· Able to interact and communicate with staff at all levels

· Basic understanding of the investment and retail banking business

· Strong team player

· Cost conscious

· Strong project delivery skills
