Operations is a global function within the Investment Bank providing transaction management and post trade services across all asset classes to the businesses. Fixed Income Rates and Credit Operations is a group of approximately 500 staff who provide Middle Office support the FI Rates and Credit businesses and post-trade services for FI derivative confirmations and settlement.
RSG & FX Operation is a small team of 22 based predominantly in London and made up of three functions: Derivatives confirmations, Sales Support (for Derivatives and FX Cash) and FX Netting. The 8 Sales Assistants and one VP support the activities of the RSG and FX Sales Desks based in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Paris, Frankfurt, Madrid and Milan.
Overall purpose of role:
Provide Sales Support to the EMEA RSG Sales desk based in London for predominantly FX Cash, Options, Rates and Commodities products with some Fixed Income.
Key Accountabilities and Skills required:
· Act as the liaison between the EMEA clients, Sales and support teams ensuring all client queries and issues are resolved correctly and in a timely manner.
· Involvement in the on-boarding of clients, both from within the Barclays Group or those new to the organisation.
· Build and maintain relationships with the PCB Relationship Management teams.
Stakeholder management and leadership .
· Ensure client account information is accurately represented in all systems once the initial on-boarding process is complete; liaise with Regulatory teams for any regulatory queries, at the onboarding stage or post trade.
· Serve as a liaison between the Trading and Sales Desks and other Operational areas including Loans Teams (e.g. Static Data, Settlements, etc.)
· Liaise with Legal documentation teams to ensure trading documentation (e.g. ISDA) is delivered in a timely manner
· Communicate directly with clients as necessary in an appropriate and timely manner to ensure queries and issues are dealt with and resolved as swiftly as possible.
Decision making and problem solving.
· The candidate will need to gain an understanding of a number of complex products and their booking systems
· Candidate will need to make sound judgement calls and escalate and highlight issues effectively.
· Along with other team members candidate will individually and collectively implement concepts to continually improve end to end service.
Risk and Control
All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
Your Skills and Qualifications will include
· Preferably degree educated
· A strong Operations / Middle office background.
· A degree of exposure to liaising internally with traders, sales teams, Legal, etc to resolve queries.
· A mature and professional approach to liaising internally/externally with sensitive clients to resolve queries.
· Strong analytical skills. Working knowledge of Barclays Systems and Excel spreadsheets.
· Understanding of current regulatory developments
· A dynamic individual, who demonstrates enthusiasm and self motivation within the guidelines of the group.
· Good spoken and written German an asset
