The Roadshow Team

The Roadshow team offers excellent execution while leveraging global supplier relationships and the firm''s overall purchasing power. As a centralised function, the Roadshow team maintains tight control over itineraries, scheduling of one on one meetings with investors, venue hire, presentation technology and all logistical elements, as well as a high standard of project management and budgeting to try and get you and the firm''s clients the best value for your spend.

All roadshows, marketing updates involving issuers and investors, investor trips, company presentations, sales force presentations and 1:1 conference marketing must be organised through the Roadshow team.

Overall purpose of role:

Our objective is to deliver a full service Events function that is strategically aligned to the needs of our clients and represents the Barclays Purpose, Values and Behaviours in all that we do.

The Events function offers innovative solutions and excellent execution while leveraging global supplier relationships and Barclays' overall purchasing power. As a centralised function, Events maintains tight control over brand consistency and offers high standards of project management for Events, Roadshows, Hospitality and Merchandise.

Key Accountabilities:

· Execute a wide range of events which are aligned with business objectives, firm-wide policies & procedures and communication strategies
· Learn what the business requires from events, their objectives and key priorities and which event activity works best for the business and their varying client profiles. This includes working with their Team Leader to influence decisions based on experience of past event successes and failures
· Act as an ambassador for Events - build recognition that we are experts at planning and execution
· Adhere to event budgets and end-to-end finance process whilst also distributing marketing collateral and conducting the request/allocation process
· Speaker and host management including agenda design, speaker suggestions, collation of presentations, speaker briefings and accommodation requirements
· Responsible for the execution of contracts on behalf of the firm up to an agreed maximum value with Team Leader oversight
· Work with Team Leader to ensure all vendors and contracts represent strong cost negotiation and building and maintain strong and effective relationships with our preferred suppliers
· Look for opportunities to improve process and the Events operating style whilst making recommendations
· Support colleagues with event planning and on-site event assistance where required
· Be part of a supportive team where individuals are encouraged to think creatively, and are empowered to develop and grow
· Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays' policies and standards.
· Follow our health and safety risk assessment procedures for all events
· Learn about the three pillars of our citizenship agenda and identify opportunities to demonstrate our initiatives through the events we offer.


Essential Skills and Qualifications will include:

· Previous Roadshow experience
· Previous experience working directly with clients/stakeholders
· Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Ppt, Word, Excel)
· Good industry knowledge and significant prior experience: Events, Roadshows, Hospitality & Merchandise
· Thinks and operates with a global perspective and vision; anticipates business direction based on knowledge of specialist sector and use this to partner with business to promote innovative solutions.
· Relationship/Account Management experience including the ability to understand business strategies
· Good communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to speak confidently in front of groups and stakeholders and with a Team Leader with influence and impact

Preferred
· Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or Arts preferred
· Previous experience of project management preferred
· Ideally within the finance industry
