Group Functions – Local Regulatory reporting & Tax Technology
Local Regulatory Reporting & Tax Technology is a global team responsible for the design, development and maintenance of applications supporting the mandatory Regulatory and Tax functions of Barclays across clusters in US, Europe and APAC. Its primary mission is to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of global and local reporting architecture to allow our Business stakeholders to have a sustained competitive advantage through technology.
The team supports the following functions:
• Reporting on Financials, Statistics, Risk, Capital, Liquidity and Funding requirements to the PRA, EBA, BoE, FED, SEC, FINRA and local regulators in APAC (over 20 regulators in 10 countries)
• Various global and local Tax functions (VAT, Risk, Compliance, Employment and Wealth, Forecasting) and reporting
• FATCA (US and Global requirements such as Crown Dependencies and Common Reporting Standards)
• Definition and development of the Regulatory Reporting strategy and the associated technology solutions for Functions
Overall purpose of role: Axiom Developer will be part of Axiom CoE and will be responsible for development of IHC [Octon] and CCAR reports
o This role requires to conduct development and review for US FED applications
o This role requires interacting and servicing various functional groups (Finance, treasury, operation)
o This role requires to analyze and direct improvement of key areas in Axiom systems such as batch times, assured availability of systems within the SLAs and improvement of staff productivity by driving more effective delivery across the resources in the US and India.
Key Accountabilities and Skills required:

o This role requires to deliver changes US FED application
o This role requires to work for all L3 production issues
o This role requires to work on controls, audit issues across various Axiom application
o Stakeholder management and leadership.
o This role requires interacting with stakeholders across various Functional groups such as Finance, Treasury and Operations. Also required to interact with various IT teams such as RTB, Middleware and various infrastructure teams
o This role requires to execute projects in Agile way and lead teams across India and US.
o Decision making and problem solving.
o This requires great problem solving techniques and be able to take decision based on business needs
o Risk and Control: All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
Your Skills and Qualifications will include
o Experience in niche Axiom skills, should have ability to drive design and coach new members
o Strong oracle performance tuning
o overall experience
o years relevant Axiom experience
o Bachelors in Engineering
o Masters in IT/Electronics Science (MBA,MCS,MSC)
