Job Title Compliance Certifications Analyst
Location Glasgow
You have excellent attention to detail, an inquisitive mind and a passion to develop your knowledge and career in Compliance. You are seeking a new role and have been drawn to the growth of our Campus in Glasgow and want to join us on our journey to redefine the future of finance. As a Compliance certifications analyst you will contribute to processing Registrations and Certifications in line with our Individual Accountability Policy and Standard. You will be responsible for generating, updating and comprehending management information (MI) and will contribute to projects that the broader Certifications team is working on.
What will you be doing?
· Identify key data and action points for escalation to the Certification leadership to opine on Certification/Registration matters
· Contribute to training on the Certification Regime to all Lines of Defence in the Bank, offering knowledge to line managers on all certification matters
· Process the Certifications and Registrations of individuals subject to the Certification and Approved Persons Regimes
· Participate in both local and global team project initiatives
· Respond to colleague queries on their obligations and requirements and be ready to respond/assist within our Group-Wide Policy and Standards
· Offer practical solutions and suggestions for process improvement – especially in identifying inefficiencies in current Certifications processes
· From day-to-day experience, highlight where we can update and improve our procedures and templates that are used in the Certifications processes
What we're looking for:
· Knowledge of FCA Rules surrounding Fitness & Propriety
· Knowledge of The Certification Regime and general awareness of the financial regulatory environment
· Prior Compliance experience preferably in Employee Compliance
· Ability to identify risk and escalate appropriately
· Basic understanding of Risk Management and control functions
Skills that will help you in the role:
· Be “tech savvy” interested by the opportunities technology provides for quality, efficiency or accuracy
· Basic understanding of Risk Management and control functions
· Knowledge of the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity Regime
· Understanding of LEAN and AGILE ways of working
Where will you be working?
This role will be based in the Aurora Building, 1 of our 3 modern City Centre locations until our exciting new campus location overlooking the River Clyde at Buchanan Wharf is opened in 2020. Aurora is close to the main stations, other transport links and also benefits from an onsite canteen.
