Job Title: Rates Flow IB MO Analyst

Business Area: Investment Bank
Job Grade: BA4

Department Main Function

The Rates Investment Bank Middle Office Team supports the Rates Trading Businesses in London and Israel, which are consistently voted by clients as the number one rates business worldwide. The team is the first line of control ensuring that trades are delivered correctly on T0 into back office systems.

Products covered:
·  Interest Rate Swaps
·  Cross Currency Swaps
·  Total Return Swaps
·  Structured Rates Derivatives
·  Swaptions
·  Inflation Swaps
·  Securitised Derivatives
·  Loan/Deposits, FRA's, OIS.
The team works closely with sales and trading, market risk and infrastructure partners (finance, IT and post Trade Services) to ensure that all trades are captured as accurately and quickly as possible, and all regulatory commitments are met.

The team also specialises in providing technical assistance on a variety of programmes and initiatives (regulatory build and execution, regulatory controls, Basel III, Leveraged balance Sheet etc.)

Risk & Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards.

Role Main Duties

This role is to join a team supporting the London Rates trading desks, performing tasks such as;
·  Assisting the Front Office with trade and system processing issues.
·  Start of day controls to account for late trading activity
·  T0 trade exception monitoring, trade lifecycle management
·  Trade compressions
·  End of day tie-outs with PnL systems
·  End of day controls to ensure data completeness

Desired profile

Person Requirements
·  Relevant banking experience in a Middle Office
·  Interest Rate Swaps experience preferred
·  Experience of working against tight short-term deadlines in a dynamic, pressurised environment
·  Experience of implementing process improvements with tangible business benefits
·  Preferred degree or equivalent
·  Strong analytical skills
·  Excellent focus on risk and control
·  Proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement
·  Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel
·  Confident and professional
·  Enthusiastic and keen to learn
·  Focused on attention to detail
·  Self starter/Self motivator with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
·  Strong query management skills
