Department Overview
Graduate Development is responsible for integrating new campus hires into the firm and managing their early tenure experience. The team's goal is to provide high-performing Analysts and Associates to the business by ensuring that each incoming individual has the tools necessary for success in his/her initial role, performs to his/her full potential, and builds the foundation for a lasting career at the firm.
Main Function
Develop and implement an effective, efficient Graduate Development program for the Global Markets & Research business.
Main Duties
The person must be a strategic thinker and excellent at managing complex processes and driving change. Responsibilities may include:
· Leading efforts related to the Initial Training Program (ITP) and Continued Learning (CL) for Analysts and Associates
· Identifying, developing and executing new initiatives to continuously improve the quality of programs delivered to business managers, Analysts and Associates
· Building and cultivating strong relationships with business clients (Graduates, Global Markets & Research line managers and business heads, COOs) and HR Colleagues
· Providing ongoing performance and career guidance to Graduates
· Participating, partnering, and leading other human resource processes for Global Markets Analysts and Associates, such as:
· Performance management
· Promotion decisions
· Compensation
· Mobility
Personal Requirements
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree
· 3+ years of Investment Banking experience
· 3+ years knowledge of Sales and Trading
· 3+ years of experience with undergraduate and graduate recruitment and training programs
Preferred Qualifications
· Excellent communication skills
· Track record of motivating junior employees and a deep understanding and compassion for human capital issues
· Organized, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a high pressure environment
· Impeccable process management skills
