Operational Due Diligence Analyst
As a Barclays Operational Due Diligence (ODD) Analyst, you will identify and assess the business, fund investment, regulatory and governance risks. This is required for our outsourcing investment management activities to third party managers in the traditional and alternative fund product sectors, with each fund and mandate required to pass assessment. You will have the opportunity to be part of a team, whilst learning what it takes to become a subject matter expert in identifying and assessing these operational and fund structural risks.

Global Investments and Solutions' is the centre of excellence for Investments for Barclays. Through our expertise we deliver a range of in-house and open architecture solutions across: Investment services, including discretionary portfolio management, investment advisory, direct access and execution only services. This team also provides platforms for securities, foreign exchange and derivatives structuring and dealing.
As an Operational Due Diligence Analyst, your main responsibilities will involve:
• Working closely and effectively with key stakeholders across the wealth and investment management businesses
• Performing on-going monitoring of existing funds on the approved list, reviewing and updating scores as appropriate through the completion of operational due diligence reports
• Developing and maintaining the fund list of recommended alternative and traditional asset class offerings, including undertakings for collective investments in transferable securities (UCITS)
• Investigating new funds to add to the recommended list across all alternative and traditional fund strategies
• Jointly developing and maintaining the operational due diligence platform so that it can continue to support the teams due diligence, record keeping and workforce planning
As an Operational Due Diligence Analyst, your skills and qualifications will include:
• Strong hands-on experience in the development and maintenance of the fund List of recommended alternative and traditional asset class offerings, including UCITS.
• An understanding of asset allocation, manager and fund selection and all asset classes
• The ability to effectively cooperate with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, including Heads of relevant teams throughout the Bank
• Strong people and social skills, with the ability to effectively communicate (both verbal and written) with key internal and external stakeholders
• The ability to coordinate, support and influence decision makers in a broad range of areas
• An inquisitive mind to investigate and discover, ideally holding or part qualified in ACA, ACCA, CFA or CIA
