Job description
Purpose of role
The role holder will support the Front Office supervision to drive heightened levels of compliance with KYC review demands, leading to superior KYC client-file quality
The main scope of duties for this role will include the following: (i) review account annual review forms for High Risk and PEP clients to ascertain that these meet the Bank's internal Clients Due Diligence (CDD) and AML standards plus Monegasque regulatory requirements; (ii) review transaction monitoring, AML and sanctions controls and analyze them through the review process; (iii) provide technical advice to the bankers and interpret policies with an emphasis on CDD and AML requirements.
Core accountabilities
Review account forms and applying the Bank's internal policies and procedures as well as Monegasque regulatory requirements to ascertain whether additional information is required to provide sign-off and where appropriate to reject such applications;
Provide timely technical advice to IPB business segments on CDD and AML matters in cooperation with Financial Crime / Compliance dept.;
Assist in ensuring that policies and procedures with respect to CDD and AML are understood by front office employees, especially with regards to:
(i) assist in ensuring that full adherence to group policy is carried out whenever possible;
(ii) delivering AML and sanctions training to front office employees.
Provide assistance in project related work and carry out other tasks subject to departments requirements; perform the administrative tasks which are associated with the above tasks.

Role requirements
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory KYC / AML requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards.
Professional/technical experience
Detailed knowledge of Monaco Banking regulations and international AML and sanctions standards.
Working knowledge of material regulations in jurisdictions in which the Bank operates, especially UK.
Significant report writing skills (in English).
Flexibility of approach in considering commercial imperatives whilst managing regulatory risk.
Managerial experience
No managerial experience required.
Ability to work in interaction with private bankers
Academic and professional qualifications
Several years' Financial Service experience, ideally gained in a wealth management or private banking environment.
(Desirable) educational qualification to degree standard
(Desirable) completion of a relevant Financial Crime or Compliance professional qualification (e.g. ACAMS, International Compliance Association)
Language skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French are a critical requirement of the position.
Whilst additional languages are not an essential requirement of this position, candidates with additional languages skills are at a distinct advantage (Italian / Russian preferred).
