Job description

Job Title: Navigator PPM Support Analyst

Location: Pune

Current instance of HP PPMC, known as “Navigator” is used in Barclays since 2008. The tool is used for managing the internal change portfolio with a user base of 40K in Change and Technology roles, 8K Project, Programme and Portfolio Managers with ~6300 proposed and in-flight projects.

This role's primary responsibility is to provide day to day application support and the delivery of configuration change requests in the tool along with supporting in the integration of the tool with other products and BI Solutions. Manage client expectations and demands proactively while maintaining good client relationships ensure effective application service delivery and availability.

Utilizing the Barclays defined best practices, standards and tools during design, development, integration, documentation and support.

Develop strong working relationships with various teams (Reporting, Infrastructure etc.) to ensure successful delivery of applications.

What will you be doing?

o This technical role is responsible for day to day application support and the delivery of configuration change requests in the tool and Developing and maintaining strong relationships across key stakeholders (EPMO), change project managers and engineering teams within a cluster.

o Liaising, and working closely, with the peers within and outside team, keeping the stakeholders updated on progress against milestones.

o Highlight and managing risks and issues via effective controls and standard Barclays processes

o Enhance and improve the application development capability of own team and via automation and innovation.

What we're looking for:

o Experienced HP PPM Professional with hands-on experience with the product

o Excellent functional knowledge of all PPM modules – Demand, Time, Resource, Financial, Project and Portfolio

o Strong working experience on Incident, Change and Problem management and should also have good knowledge on ITIL processes.

o Strong working experience of application support in banking domain.

o Experience in JAVA, web services & PL/SQL framework

o Nice to have HP Certified Professional in PPMC or equivalent qualifications

o Technical knowledge covering key areas, to include performance and tuning, security and controls.

o Good knowledge of UNIX and Linux (preferably Linux).

o Knowledge of Webservers.

o Managing the successful delivery of applications into the production environment, including the design of, and transition to, the application support strategy.

o Java, J2EE,SQL & PLSQL, XML, HTML, Web services

o Understanding of how to interoperate with web services.

o Understanding of REST and SOAP services.

o UNIX and Linux commands
