Mortgage Specialist
This role can be based in either Glasgow or London
This role requires a Barclays Mortgage Specialist to join Premier Banking as a Barclays Mortgage Specialist in the UK residential property market. You will be providing advice to our international high net-worth clients based outside of the UK, on complex and technically challenging cases. Full administrative support will be provided as highly engaged stakeholders refer unprecedented levels of business.

As a Mortgage Specialist, your main responsibilities will involve:
•Recruiting and retaining global mortgage clients outside of the UK who are investing in the UK residential property market
•Providing holistic advice on regulated and non-regulated mortgage products, which best suit customers' needs
•Delivering exceptional sales performance and stretching personal targets
•Building quality relationships with existing and new providers of mortgage business
•Sitting within the Front Office, and working alongside Relationship Managers as your lead generators
As a Mortgage Specialist, your skills and qualifications will include:
•A certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practise (CeMAP) or equivalent
•A thorough understanding of credit risk appetite and policy, as well as knowledge of high value and complex lending
•The ability to ensure adherence to all internal risk policies and regulatory requirements
•Previous exposure to private banking or wealth management preferable
•Experience of working in a fast-paced frontline, regulated mortgage environment
This role is deemed as a Certified role under the UK PRA & Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
