Job Title: Level 2 Application Support Analyst SRE
Location: Chennai
Become a member of a current L2 Run the Bank team for the Consolidated Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) for IHC within the Risk, Finance and Treasury Lifecycle.
What will you be doing?
· Frontline Batch Support, Event Management - Responsible for monitoring and resolving application/batch failures, RTB dashboard
· Incident, Change Management - Handling incidents and changes management process according to ITIL
· Efficiency Gains, Service Improvement, Onboarding - Work with on-boarding coordinator to complete training for upcoming releases
· Resolve business queries within SLA by providing end-to-end solution to the user, This may include working with upstream IT teams to go to the root of the issue
· Work closely with Business, Development, Risk and Control, and supporting Vendors to facilitate the successful delivery of Change to the Production environment, and minimizing unplanned impact to the business day to day operating procedures.
· To represent Technology in front of the business and take ownership of issues through to resolution or escalation, as appropriate.
· Be intimate with the business operating procedures and daily processing life cycle, provide advice and guidance to the business on operational matters and provide workarounds and pragmatic solutions to issues facing the business in a real time fashion, to minimize client visible impact.
· To execute Business Continuity Management tests, be flexible and responsible to run application disaster recovery tests according to the firm's requirements
· Prepare weekly Key Performance Indicators for incident, change, problem, capacity and availability management and present it to IT management for review
· Raise problem tickets for batch issues and systems bugs reported by business users, Link incident tickets to problem ticket, Link post release issues to change/problem, track the status of tickets till they are resolved
· Provide on call support through a shared team ROTA.
What we're looking for:
· The successful candidate will have a proven track record and a strong passion for working in the financial services industry.
· The successful candidate will ideally be ITIL certified, and be able to demonstrate practical application of the ITIL principles into an Application Management function at a financial institution.
· A well rounded technology skillset including Linux, Windows, SQL Server, Oracle and Big Data technologies
Skills that will help you in the role:
· Knowledge of java, python, autosys, AWS, hive and hadoop
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Good understanding of best practice risk and control procedures
· Ability to take ownership and manage time constructively.
