Development Services
Development Services operates under the Group Chief Technology Office providing consultancy and a centre of excellence around software development methodologies in general and the broad adoption of Agile and DevOps across Barclays Group in particular as a mechanism for developing Better Products Faster.
Role Purpose
· Key member of an agile development team developing cutting-edge group-wide internal software to enable other teams to develop in an agile and lean way in a highly regulated environment.
· Continuing to develop an in-house application supporting group-wide agile software delivery in a highly regulated environment
Key Accountabilities
· A highly skilled software development role working directly with business users
· Ongoing role within a small agile software product development team
· Developing a high impact software product used across all business units in Barclays
· Software is released weekly or more frequently: continuous attention to quality is key
Person Specification
· Essential skills: expert in agile testing – understanding agile test pyramid, test automation in a full-stack browser-based application environment; experience of Java & Groovy
· Desirable: experience of Spock, Geb, WebDriver, Karma, Jenkins
