DDO- Distribution channels Africa is delivery unit and vertical part of Barclays Group Centre - Operations and Technology organization.
The unit enables Digitalization of Mobile and web related applications across multiple geographies such as Africa and Rest of Africa businesses.
This unit is also known for innovation and creating POC which creates value for customers
Overall purpose of role: A brief description of the role and why it has come around (1- 2 bullet points)*
• End-to-end software development lifecycle
• Good working knowledge of app development on iOS
• Working Knowledge of iOS SDK and Cocoa Touch frameworks, objective c and Swift.
• Working Knowledge of APIs, Apple design Principle and interface guideline.
• Working Knowledge on Full Mobile development Lifecycle, APIs and Push Notification.
• Strong OO functional and technical design skills
• Awareness of leading-edge tools, techniques and services within IT
• Ability to understand an existing body of code
• Knowledge of Object Orientated Programming and associated concepts.
• Understanding of mobile technologies.
• Knowledge of smart phones, emerging technology, capabilities, different platforms (IOS, Android or Windows Phone).
• Some development exposure to a second major mobile platform.
• Knowledge of Operating System kernels e.g. Mach-O or Windows.
• Knowledge of cryptography.
• Operating Systems: iOS, Mac OSX.
• Programming Skill: Objective-C, SWIFT, C, C++
• Tools/Frameworks: iPhone SDK, Cocoa, JIRA, Git-hub, SVN

· BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree
