The Investment Advisor (IA) will partner with bankers, as an investment specialist with deep understanding of the Global Investments & Solutions (GI&S) investment proposition, focusing on direct interactions with the Private Bank's largest and most sophisticated HNW and UHNW clients.

The IA will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Barclays Wealth product platforms and services, and equipped with this execute strategies for growing new and existing invested Assets Under Management through preparation for significant client pitches, proposals and investment reviews for clients.

IAs act as the conduit into the full spectrum of our investment capabilities for our most sophisticated and complex investment clients, providing a comprehensive consultation process, as well as technical strength in assessing the needs and risk appetite of the client, and translating this into portfolio construction, asset allocation and risk management.

As an Investment Advisor, your main responsibilities will involve:
• Design well diversified and optimised portfolios reflecting Barclays Wealth strategic views.
• Customise portfolios taking into account personal objectives and individual financial personalities
• Provide advice on individual solutions and devise trading / investment ideas for clients
• Review investment portfolios regularly
• Provide regular market updates on all major asset classes and financial indicators
• IAs will have full responsibility for managing and communicating directly with clients on their Advisory assets (subject to entry level criteria of £3m per Advisory relationship).
• IAs are expected to have extensive market and investment knowledge in order to direct all investment assets under their covered relationships (including discretionary / advisory / direct access and Exo service assets).
• IAs will provide a proactive bespoke service as agreed with clients. The service requires that IAs have strong communication and influencing skills (both written and spoken) with the ability to compile highly developed presentations, recommendations and review reports with a view delivering to clients personally.
• Investment advisors will have significant interaction with key stakeholders from across the business including banker teams, GI&S product areas, wealth advisory and investment services, to name a few.
• Within the context of their local team and across Global Investments & Solutions, an investment advisor is expected to contribute to idea generation, product development and the ongoing enhancement of the investment proposition.

As an Investment Advisor, your skills and qualifications will include:
• IAs will have full responsibility for managing and communicating directly with clients on their Advisory assets (subject to entry level criteria of £3m per Advisory relationship).
• IAs are expected to have extensive market and investment knowledge in order to direct all investment assets under their covered relationships (including discretionary / advisory / direct access and Exo service assets).
• IAs will provide a proactive bespoke service as agreed with clients. The service requires that IAs have strong communication and influencing skills (both written and spoken) with the ability to compile highly developed presentations, recommendations and review reports with a view delivering to clients personally.
• The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre and will preferably have industry qualifications to FCA Level 6 and be SPS registered where operating in the UK wealth management industry.
